CHURCH COVENANT

"Come and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a Perpetual Covenant that shall not be forgotten"... Jeremiah 50:5

  • We solemnly covenant together, God helping us, (Philippians 3:20)
  • that as a strangers and pilgrims on earth we will remember that our citizenship is in heaven;
  • that we will put away from us all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, and be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven us;
  • that as we have opportunity, we will do good unto all men; (Galatians 6:10)
  • that we will contend earnestly for faith, which was once delivered of the Lord; (Jude 1:3)
  • that we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; (Hebrews 10:25)
  • that we will keep the ordinance as they were delivered unto us;
  • that we will confess our faults one to another and pray one for another; (James 5:16)
  • that we will remember them which have the rule over us who speak unto us the Word of God, whose faith we will follow, considering the end of their conversation, Jesus Christ; (Hebrews 13:7)
  • that we will give as God hath prospered us, not grudgingly, nor of necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver,(2 Corinthians 9:7)
  • that whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, we will think on these things; (Philippians 4:8)
  • and that whatsoever we do, in word or in deed, we will do heartily as unto the Lord, striving always in all things to be well pleasing unto Him who loved us and gave Himself for us. (Colossians 3:17)
