What is the Dance Ministry all about?
The birth of the Dance Ministry came on the sixth year of NCF, in 1998, long after the congregation has perfectly understood and accepted its theology, significance, and practice. Tambourine, Messianic, and Ballet or Interpretative Dances are acceptable at worship services. Some other dance forms are tolerable on special events, but are required to undergo auditioning under the Music Director.
Dances at services are as the Spirit leads, not weekly, as some people may want. Rehearsals are generally called by the Dance Ministry head but dance rehearsals for special events are called by the Music Director.
The Dance Ministry comprises a group of dedicated Christians given the talent to dance and who rehearse regularly as a group to give glory to God and edify saints around them. These dancers serve as worship leaders through dance that as the congregation sings and joins to dance for the Lord; our only Audience-He may be pleased.
Like the other ministries under the Music Department, the Dance Ministry follows the ministry procedures and policies in the involvement of a new member.
What is the main objective of the Dance Ministry?
The main objective is to provide a wide range of God-glorifying dance numbers such as popular, jazz, ballet, interpretative, tambourine, folk and the like to convey a message for viewers and to express higher emotions of worship and testimony.
What do you do in the Dance Ministry?
